Productive Articulation in the Automotive Sector, Cd,juarez-el Paso,tx, Updated Situation and Development Perspectives

Abstract:

In the state of Aguascalientes, Baja California, Chihuahua, Estado de Mexico, Guanajuato, Jalisco, San Luis Potosi, Nuevo Leon, Sonora among others, the automotive plants have maintenance a growth due to the economic and social impulse the installation and as a consequence the providers of different services and levels ,education and research institutions and business corporates. For that reason the objectives of this research are: to establish the relationships between Mexican providers companies of the automotive sector with its similar in USA; to determine if the productive grouping works as automotive cluster or simply as a business network and analyze the economic and social benefits that has brought to the different areas of Cd. Juarez the companies of the automotive sector in Mexico and in USA. The data base took place through an interview to managers of automotive plants, governmental and business associations. The preliminary information of three manufactured companies of the city reveal results about topics as the actions that the automotive companies are taking to impulse the sector and the mechanism of productive articulation, integration of the network and productive chain in and outside the automotive sector, among others..
